In addition to No Touch Mail, Certified No Touch Mail, and Manual deliveries, I would like the ability to email Escalation communications from the HOALife system.

We have homeowners who have authorized electronic communications only. This greatly saves on USPS handling and postage costs. It also permits more timely communications to occur. As well, this documents the communications string in the event that legal actions are taken.

For those who are wanting this feature, what are you expecting to happen when the property owner hits the “Reply” button to these emails? A property conversation? No replies? Since escalations are intended to be used for non-compliance actions (fines, liens, etc), what concerns of two-way communications at this level?

Daniel Westendorf: I would be in favor of a conversation. In our use case for Florida communities we would only deliver certain letters via email (ex. Notice of Hearing). The fine confirmation or rejection letters would be delivered via usps only. Florida law required that all notices are mailed in addition to email unless the homeowner has opted-in to electronic delivery. Would the proposed conversation also be visible within the escalation?

Daniel Westendorf: I would like to be able to select USPS mail/manual delivery and/or email for escalation letters. If the homeowner replies back to the email letter, then it would become part of the email conversations of the property.
For Architectural Control, I have gone straight to Escalated violation, for violations involving projects that have been completed. I had to download the violation PDF and email it as a "start email conversation", in addition to downloading, printing and manually USPS mailing.
The email conversation and homeowner replies become part of the documentation, should legal require it.

Emmanuel Matias We're in Florida, too. I dont need 2 way communication for emailed notices, but we do have to use electronic notices and not USPS for those who have opted-in to email. I had no idea an Escalation Letter could not be emaied from the app.
